Next Sunday we will hear from Luke 1:26-38. Look up and enjoy this passage; it should be familiar to you! What do you hear about Jesus when you read what the angel said? What do you discover about Mary? Does learning about one help you to learn about the other? Draw Mary and Jesus, showing what this Scripture has helped you to understand.
Level II (1st-2nd) The Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4) In the Scripture passage called the Annunciation (Luke 1:26-38) we hear about the Holy Spirit. We read about Him again in Acts 2:1-4. Please draw what you picture when you think about the Holy Spirit. These two Scripture passages will help you in planning what to draw. | Level III (3rd-6th) The Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4) In the first few chapters of Luke we hear about the Holy Spirit again and again. We also hear about Him in Acts. After reading Luke 1:26-38 and Acts 2:1-4, think about where the Holy Spirit also "comes down" at Mass. Find a way to put all three of these moments into one illustration: The Annunciation, Pentecost, and the Mass. |
