Read Ezekiel 34:11-15. Does this Scripture remind you of any other Scripture passages from the Psalms or from the Gospels? Next Sunday is the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. That title and this Scripture both give us images and names that help us to ponder who God is. Make a list of titles or names for God that you know. Illustrate each name on your list or draw one illustration that puts all of these ideas together in order to show what you imagine when you picture God.
Level II (1st-2nd) The Sign of Peace Because Jesus is truly present with us at Mass, we can share His peace with others. What is peace? What is Jesus' peace like? Write and draw about how you can share His peace with others today. | Level III (3rd-6th) Matthew 25:31-46 Next Sunday's Gospel tells us how Jesus will separate "sheep" and "goats." Make a list of the ways the "sheep," who are placed at His right side, lived their lives. Did they really feed and clothe Jesus? How did they do that? Make a list of ten ways you could love a sibling or parent this week, using the list Jesus makes as your example. Could you help make supper to "feed the hungry?" Could you make a card for someone who is lonely as a way to "visit" them? |
